[Drug Composition] Arctium Lappa (Burdock Seed)
[Function and Indications] Treat all types of wind disorders, especially severe wind affecting limbs, paralysis, impaired mobility. Also treats arthralgia from chronic wind, wind-stroke, stubborn numbness, waist and leg pain, tendon stiffness, or symptoms caused by spicy food such as needle-like sensations throughout the body, facial deviation, dizziness, mental confusion, vomiting, wind affecting the heart.
[Usage and Dosage] Warmly drink one small cup every morning, wait a moment then another cup. Shake before drinking. Avoid eating for some time afterward. Drink again in the evening.
[Preparation Method] One dou of Arctium Lappa, wash off floating particles, dry in sun, crush finely, place in clean sand bowl. Add five sheng of ash-free wine, grind thoroughly until extremely soft. Filter through fine silk cloth to extract white juice. Residue is re-ground with another five sheng of wine until juice is fully extracted. Then add one dou of wine, mix well, place in non-porous container, seal tightly. Spring/Autumn: fourteen days, Summer: seven days, Winter: twenty-one days. Seal tightly to prevent air leakage.
