[Drug Composition] Herba hydrangeae, aconite, nandina, windproof herb, sichuan pepper, female fern, processed aconite, asarum, angelica, club moss, cassia heart, aconite, gentiana, stephania, each one liang; dodder, two liang
[Function and Indications] Treat windstroke with heavy dizziness, blurred vision, or collapse with loss of consciousness, regaining awareness after half a day, mouth crooked and jaws locked, hemiplegia, stiffness and numbness with pain, immobility, joint swelling and pain, arms unable to raise above head, legs unable to bend, unable to wear shoes, prone to fall while walking, skin sensation like insects crawling, rashes and itching, severe cases leading to mania and running wildly.
[Dosage and Administration] Start with one he, if ineffective increase to two he, twice daily, until mild numbness occurs.
[Preparation Method] Cut fifteen herbs finely, soak in two dou of clear wine. In winter, soak for seven days; in summer, three days; in spring and autumn, five days.
[Precautions] This formula contains many hot and pungent herbs; those with high blood pressure or yin deficiency with fire excess should avoid use.
