Then take four dou of black beans, wash clean, divide into four portions, lightly roast until fragrant. Use two dou eight sheng of clear, high-quality brewed wine, pour over beans three times. One roasting, three pouring. After pouring, discard beans. Collect total of twelve batches of poured wine into another container. Then add the fermented starter juice and other herbs into a large jar, seal tightly. Steam the jar again over boiling water, adjust temperature, then add the starter juice and herbs back into the jar. On that day, cook eight dou of high-quality glutinous rice into rice, following standard brewing methods. Add the bean-poured wine into the jar, seal for one or two nights. When rice is fully digested, cook another four dou of glutinous rice, re-seal.
