Heavenly Gate Wintergreen and Rehmannia Wine—originally named "Heavenly Gate Wintergreen Wine"
[Drug Composition] Heavenly gate wintergreen five sheng (remove heart, crush and extract juice, slowly boil until thick syrup), moist荆 (twenty-five bundles, each 3 chi circumference, length 2.5 chi, burn center, collect liquid from both ends, one sheng and half, boil down to seven he), green bamboo (thirty bundles, each 3 chi circumference, length 2.5 chi, burn center, collect liquid from both ends, three sheng, boil down to one sheng and half), fresh rehmannia (crush five sheng, large pieces washed clean and dried, crush to extract three sheng juice, boil down to one sheng and half), fresh five-leaf ginseng (thirty jin, thoroughly washed and dried, chopped into large pot, add four shi water, boil until five dou, filter, clarify, collect juice, place in copper vessel, re-boil over double boiler until three dou and five sheng, mix evenly with previous four juices), white glutinous rice one shi and five dou, yeast (sun-dried and ground into powder) eight jin
[Function and Indications] Treats foot qi pain.
[Dosage and Administration] Take four he each time, slightly warm, twice daily, gradually increase to half a cup, until effect is felt.
[Preparation Method] Use above medicinal juices, soak yeast powder six sheng, after five days fermentation begins. Wash seven dou rice twenty times, spread on clean mat, dry with clean cloth, then steam in steamer to make wine mash. Pour previous medicinal juice into clean basin, mix evenly with rice, heat, follow normal wine-making method, pour into clean jar, seal tightly. After three days, add second fermentation. Then wash four dou rice, repeat process: steam, cool to body temperature, add to previous wine jar, seal again. After three more days, add final batch of medicine.

These eleven ingredients, except rice, coarsely crush to grain size, mix with rice, place in steamer, steam thoroughly, pour out and cool to body temperature, then transfer to boiling wine jar. After three days, taste a small amount. If satisfactory, seal jar head tightly. After another half month, press and extract clear wine, store in non-porous container.
[Precautions] Drink this wine only warm, not too hot.
