Phlegm Pain Medicinal Wine
[Drug Composition] Alisma 12g, Red Peony Root 10.5g, Cinnamon Twig Tip, Frankincense, Myrrh, Sichuan Aconite, Herbaceous Aconite, Apricot Kernel, Safflower, Five-Leaf Ginseng, Rhubarb (authentic), Eucommia, Bone Setting Herb, each 9g, Chaenomeles, Small Golden Flower, White芷each 7.5g, Angelica Root Tail, Raw Rehmannia, Qianghuo, Gardenia, Huangbo each 6g, Camphor, Su Mu each 3g, 95% ethanol 800ml
[Function and Indications] Used for limb soreness not caused by inflammation, such as subcutaneous bleeding, sprains, or muscle strains due to blows, compression, or impact, and fatigue pain from intense exercise or long-distance walking.
[Dosage and Administration] Wash and dry the affected limb with warm water; use cotton balls or cotton swabs soaked in medicinal wine to rub over the affected area (covering an area 3 to 5 cm larger than the injury), once to five times daily.
[Preparation Method] First, place all herbs in a pot, add water, boil for 1 hour (leaving about 200 ml). Remove the decoction, transfer to a wide-mouthed bottle, add 500 ml of 95% ethanol, soak for 3 days (shake frequently). Filter to obtain the medicinal wine. Then, place the residue back into the pot, add 0.5 L of water, boil for 1 hour (leaving about 150 ml). Remove, transfer to a bottle, add 300 ml of 95% ethanol, soak for 3 days (shake frequently). Filter and use (preferably mix both batches of medicinal wine together before use).
