The fermentation method has been lost in modern times, leaving only infusion techniques. A few medicinal wines in Tibet are still made using the Tang Dynasty fermentation method. This is what is meant by “when ritual is lost, it is sought among the people.” Fermentation may alter certain components of herbs, something impossible through infusion alone. Cui’s Rehmannia Wine provides detailed records of fermentation processes, offering valuable reference for pharmaceutical practitioners.<br>
