【Differential Diagnosis】Congenital insufficiency, spleen and kidney deficiency.
【Therapeutic Principle】Tonify the spleen and nourish the kidney.
【Formula Name】Jie Lu Yin (Decoction for Open Fontanelle).
【Composition】Codonopsis root 9g, Atractylodes macrocephala 9g, Licorice root 3g, Citrus peel 5g, Polygonatum sibiricum 9g, Fo-ti root 15g, Tortoise shell 15g, Fresh rehmannia root 9g (or use charred rehmannia root 9g).
【Usage】First decoct tortoise shell for 1 hour, then add remaining herbs, boil until three ebullitions, filter out residue, mix and slightly concentrate. Divide into 6 doses, take 3 times daily.

【Therapeutic Principle】Nourish the kidney and liver, harmonize and supplement the spleen and stomach.
【Formula Name】Shen Ling Di Huang Tang (Ginseng, Poria, and Rehmannia Decoction).
【Composition】Codonopsis root 9–12g, Prepared rehmannia root 9–12g, Poria 6g, Yam 9g, Stir-fried Atractylodes macrocephala 9g, Raspberry seed 12g, Solomon’s seal 9g, Oldenlandia herb 6g, Dog spine 12g, Licorice root 3g, 5 jujube fruits.
【Usage】Decoct in water, take one dose daily, divided into 3 doses per day.
