Simple Massage Methods for Kidney Health and Vitality
In traditional Chinese medicine, the kidneys are considered the "foundation of innate constitution" and the "root of life." People with kidney deficiency or early decline in kidney energy may experience hormonal imbalances, weakened immunity, and impaired function of other organs, leading to premature aging.
To maintain abundant kidney essence and strong kidney energy, health-preserving massage is an effective method. Here are several simple massage techniques for strengthening the kidneys and body:

Dan Tian is located one to two cun below the navel, corresponding to the Shimen acupoint. Warm your hands, then use the middle three fingers of your right hand to rotate and massage this area 50–60 times. This helps strengthen the kidneys, conserve essence, and improve gastrointestinal function.
· Press Shen Shu
Shen Shu points lie one cun lateral to the second and third lumbar vertebrae. After warming your hands, use your palms to massage back and forth 50–60 times on each side, either simultaneously or alternately. This helps prevent and treat kidney deficiency and lower back pain.
· Massage Yongquan
Yongquan is located in the depression at the center of the sole, being the first point of the Foot Shaoyin Kidney Meridian. Use the middle three fingers of your right hand to massage the left foot’s sole, and the left hand's three fingers to massage the right foot’s sole, alternating sides until the soles feel warm. Perform 60–80 repetitions per foot. This strengthens tendons and legs, guides deficient fire downward, and helps prevent palpitations, insomnia, and weakness in the feet. Perform these three methods sequentially, once in the morning and once in the evening, consistently year-round for noticeable results.
