Massage Underarm to Delay Aging
The armpit, commonly known as "armpit," lies beneath the shoulder, in the depression between upper arm and chest wall. It contains vascular and neural pathways connecting the neck and upper limb—the convergence site of axillary arteries and veins, brachial plexus, and axillary lymph node clusters.
Massaging the armpits helps relax tendons, stimulate qi and blood flow, and delay aging.
First, it greatly increases lung and heart capacity, promoting smooth venous return and enhancing gas exchange in the respiratory system;
Second, it facilitates excretion of metabolic waste like uric acid, urea, inorganic salts, and excess water, boosting urinary function and contributing to healthier reproductive organs and cells;
Third, it heightens sensitivity of sensory organs—eyes, ears, nose, tongue, and skin—to external stimuli. Couples performing 1–3 minutes of massage twice daily (morning and evening) not only aid digestion, strengthen the spleen, stimulate appetite, but also help prevent erectile dysfunction and cold extremities.
Armpit massage is simple and easy. Self-massage: cross arms in front, left hand presses right armpit, right hand presses left armpit. Using wrist strength, rhythmically pinch and lift the armpit muscles with middle, index, and ring fingers for 3–5 minutes, once in the morning and once in the evening—avoid excessive force. Couples may simultaneously massage each other’s armpits, alternating roles every 3 minutes.
