Acupuncture Treatment for Common Cold
The common cold is an acute upper respiratory tract infection caused by multiple viruses and bacteria, including ordinary colds and influenza. Ordinary colds are characterized by prominent local upper respiratory symptoms and mild systemic symptoms. Influenza presents abruptly with fever, headache, joint pain, and more severe systemic symptoms, while upper respiratory symptoms are generally milder. It falls within the scope of traditional Chinese medicine terms such as “wind injury” and “seasonal epidemic cold.”
