Whiplash injury occurs after sleep, causing unilateral neck stiffness, limited mobility, soreness in the affected area, and in severe cases, pain radiating to the shoulder, back, and upper arm.

1. Taiyang Meridian Syndrome
【Diagnostic Criteria】Neck stiffness, pain extending to the back, restricted head flexion and extension, inability to turn the head left or right, obvious tenderness in the neck and back region.
【Prescription】Houxi (SI3), Kunlun (BL60), Tianzhu (BL10), Dazhu (BL11)
2. Shaoyang Meridian Syndrome
【Diagnostic Criteria】Neck stiffness, pain radiating to the shoulder and arm, inability to bend the neck sideways or rotate it, obvious tenderness along the neck side.
【Prescription】Xuanzhong (GB39), Wai Guan (SJ5), Fengchi (GB20), Yifeng (SI17)
Other Therapies:
Auricular Acupoint Pressing: Neck, cervical vertebra, shoulder, Shenmen, tender point
Skin Needling: Selected Points: Fungfu (GV16), Yamén (GV15), Fengchi (GB20), Tianzhu (BL10), Jianjing (GB21), Jianwaiyu (GB13). Method: Percuss from top to bottom and from inside to outside, until the skin turns red. Then apply cupping therapy.
