Eye Health Massage

🔑 Keywords: Other · Acupuncture and Tuina
You may adopt either a sitting or supine position. Close both eyes naturally. Then sequentially massage the acupoints around the eyes. Ensure accurate point selection and gentle techniques, aiming for a sensation of soreness and distension locally.
1. Rub Tianying Point: Gently rub Tianying (located beneath the eyebrow, at the outer upper corner of the eye socket) using both thumbs.
2. Press and Squeeze Jingming Point: Using one thumb, gently press and squeeze Jingming (at the nasal root, right next to the inner corners of both eyes). First press downward, then squeeze upward.
3. Rub Si Bai Point: Use the index finger to gently rub Si Bai (located at the central part of the cheek, directly below the eye socket margin, one horizontal finger below).
4. Press Taiyang Point and Circularly Scrape the Eye Socket: Press Taiyang (located one horizontal finger behind the midpoint between the eyebrow end and outer corner of the eye) with the thumb, then lightly scrape the eye socket clockwise using the inner surface of the second joint of the bent index finger—from inner upper → outer upper → outer lower → inner lower—to massage acupoints such as Zanzhu, Yuyao, Sizhukong, Tongziliao, Qiuhou, and Chengqi. This is beneficial for pseudo-myopia or preventing further progression of nearsightedness.
