2. Stomach Fire Rising
【Diagnostic Criteria】Severe toothache, red swollen gums or pus discharge, relieved by cold, difficulty chewing; thirst, halitosis, red urine, constipation; red tongue with yellow dry coating; stringy rapid, full rapid, or slippery rapid pulse.

3. Deficient Fire Rising
【Diagnostic Criteria】Dull intermittent toothache, mild during day, worse at night, dark red receding gums, loose teeth, weak biting force; soreness in waist and knees, five palms heat; tender red tongue with little coating, fine rapid pulse.
