Massage for Tightening a Round Face

🔑 Keywords: Other · Acupuncture and Tuina
A round, plump face troubles many women. While we cannot alter the skeletal structure of the face, subcutaneous fat in the cheeks can be reduced through acupoint massage using rubbing techniques. Now learn a simple face-tightening massage method to eliminate a chubby face—and even prevent wrinkles! Method: The simplest approach is to make exaggerated facial expressions to exercise muscles. For example, open your mouth wide, tightly close your lips, and repeat. After age 25, the skin loses elasticity and cannot support sagging muscles, so auxiliary methods are needed to prevent sagging. This also helps prevent wrinkles.
1. Lift cheek fat: After applying massage cream, pull the cheek fat vertically along the cheekbone and stretch outward. Slowly move downward until reaching the nasal wing. Each motion takes about 5 seconds; repeat for 1 minute.
2. Smooth nasolabial folds: Place both hands on the cheeks, focusing on flattening the fine lines around the nasolabial groove (around the nasal wing). Pull the skin horizontally outward. Push from inside to outside, ending at the facial contour—about 2–3 seconds. Repeat for 1 minute.
3. Elevate cheek sagging: After applying massage cream, gently rub the skin with fingertips facing inward. Push upward from the cheekbone area, performing a rubbing massage. Perform each movement slowly, continuing for 1 minute.
4. Tap along the cheekbone: Gently tap the cheekbone with fingertips, following the orbital rim. When reaching the temple area, you’ll feel mentally refreshed. After massage, evenly apply a mixed toner and moisturizer to complete.
Different from regular massage, facial slimming requires first applying facial slimming cream, then pressing acupoints and massaging. Steps:
1. Apply facial slimming cream and relax facial muscles. Start massaging from the jawline, move toward the ear, then radiate outward from the forehead. For eye area massage, perform circular motions from the nose to the outer corners of the eyes.
2. Press the hollow below the collarbones with palm or fingers to stimulate lymphatic drainage. If fingernails are long, use the fingertip pad to firmly press the collarbone hollow for 3 seconds, then release. Repeat 3 times.
3. Use the thumb to lift the hollows beside the jawline. Let the thumb bear the weight of the head—essentially using the thumb to lift the head. Hold each action for 3 seconds, repeat 3 times.
4. Press upward on the hollows beneath the jawline. Follow the facial contours upward, gradually clarifying facial lines. Apply firm but gentle pressure, avoiding poking the jaw hollow. Repeat 3 times, 3 seconds each.
5. Gently stroke from jawline to behind the ear. From jawline to behind the ear, then from the sides of the nose to the hollows below the cheekbones, finally returning to the ear. Perform 10 back-and-forth motions.
6. Massage the forehead: Use the index, middle, and ring fingers to gently massage the forehead horizontally, 10 times, to relax and expand the forehead.
7. Press downward on the inner corner of the eye with the thumb. Firmly press the inner corner downward with the thumb to tighten eyelid muscles, but keep eyes relaxed. Repeat 3 times, 3 seconds each.
8. Gently press from inner to outer corner of the eye. Tighten the eye area skin by pressing downward along the bony line under the eyes. Press from inner to outer corner, inward to outward, 3 times, 3 seconds each.
9. Massage along the eyebrow bone: Lightly press the eyebrows with the index finger, following the upper eye bone to the outer corner. Similarly
