Women Who Sleep Well Stay Beautiful Forever
Women are naturally beauty-conscious, yet often complain about aging and fading looks. Unbeknownst to them, women who sleep well stay beautiful throughout life. Lack of sleep darkens skin tone or makes it pale and dull, accelerating skin cell aging, causing wrinkles, and roughening the skin. It also causes pigment changes around the eyes, leading to dark circles, and makes the whites of the eyes cloudy, giving a weary appearance.
Generally, teenage girls in their growth phase should sleep 8 hours daily; adult women and children should aim for 7 hours. Sleeping too long may cause weight gain; sleeping too little may lead to weight loss. Daytime sleep is less effective than nighttime sleep. Chronic late-night work harms facial appearance. If you must work late, take a 1–2 hour nap in the afternoon to maintain energy.
Here are several beauty-enhancing sleep practices for reference:
1. Light exercise before bed, such as walking or gentle stretching.
2. Wash your face with water around 36°C, or take a relaxing warm bath before sleep.
3. Keep indoor air fresh and moist.
4. Perform facial massage before bed. Gently rub the tip of your nose with thumb and index finger, then gently stroke from the center of the forehead outward along both sides of the nose using index and middle fingers.
5. Apply moisturizer or cream to your face before bed to prevent dryness.
6. Avoid eating or drinking large amounts before bed. However, drinking half a cup of warm milk before sleep aids sleep and greatly benefits skin health.
