Don’t Change Skin or Remove Spots in Summer

"Spots" refer to irregularly shaped, flat pigmented eruptions on the skin surface, classified as pigment-disorder skin issues. Excessive UV exposure in summer increases melanin production, destabilizing skin, making it prone to developing or worsening brown spots.
Theoretically, facial spots do not harm health, but for women concerned with appearance and beauty, they remain a major threat to aesthetics. Who wouldn’t want to eliminate them? However, those eager to remove spots in summer should proceed with caution. Summer is a sensitive skin season—unsuitable for spot removal, especially aggressive methods like chemical peels. Chemical peeling damages the stratum corneum due to concentration variations and individual differences, often causing redness, burning, and flaking. Instead of removing spots, it may trigger permanent dark crusts. The optimal treatment seasons are late autumn and early winter, when skin damage is minimal.
Natural foods with skin-protective and spot-removing properties can be used in summer. Drinking one glass of carrot juice daily, or one glass of tomato juice, or frequently eating tomatoes helps fade spots. Eating more cucumber, lemon, black fungus, and red dates also aids in spot removal. Boil winter melon vine water and use it to wash face or bathe—this keeps skin moist and removes spots. Marigold leaf juice also has skincare and spot-removal benefits: crush marigold leaves, extract juice, and apply to the face to remove spots while refreshing and whitening skin. Take a handful of dandelion, pour one cup of boiling water, cool, filter, then use the filtered dandelion flower water to wash face morning and night—this cleanses the face and reduces dermatitis.
