【Composition】Honeysuckle Vine 45–60g, Scrophularia 20–25g, Angelica 20–30g, Salvia 30g, Ligusticum 10–15g, Red Peony Root 15g, Peach Kernel 12g, Safflower 9g, Cinnamon Twig 9–12g, Sea Wind Vine (or Stone Lotus Vine) 15g, Coix Seed 30g, Licorice 12g.?
【Usage】Decoct in water, warm, and take in divided doses.
【Treatment Principle】Activate blood and resolve stasis, unblock obstructions, nourish yin and clear heat.
【Indications】Takayasu arteritis, presenting with chest tightness, shortness of breath, dizziness, limb numbness, and absence of radial artery pulse. Additions: Add Magnolia Bark and Poria; for spleen-kidney deficiency, add Epimedium, Astragalus, and Taxillus; for yang deficiency, add Aconite 6–9g; for yin deficiency, add raw and cooked Rehmannia, He Shou Wu; for heart deficiency with poor sleep, add Platycladus Seed, Ziziphus Seed; for kidney deficiency with hyperactive liver and high blood pressure, add Taxillus, Epimedium, Gastrodia, and Oyster Shell.
