Treatment Formula for Damp-Heat Type Eczema
Syndrome: Corresponds to acute eczema—red, swollen skin lesions, blisters, erosion, oozing, indistinct borders, intense itching, accompanied by chest tightness, poor appetite, constipation, yellowish-red urine, thin yellow greasy coating, and rapid slippery pulse.
Treatment Principle: Clearing heat, promoting diuresis, cooling blood, detoxifying.
Formula: Modified Longdan Xiegan Tang combined with Bushen Shen Shi Tang and Er Miao Wan. Gentiana 10g, Scutellaria 10g, Cortex Moutan 15g, Honeysuckle 30g, Forsythia 15g, Sophora flavescens 10g, Atractylodes 10g, Coix 10g, Phellodendron 10g, Artemisia capillaris 10g, Glycyrrhiza 6g. Add gypsum 30g and fresh reed root 30g for severe heat; increase Isatis leaf 30g for pronounced toxicity; add rhubarb 10g (added later) for severe constipation.
