Eczema Formula
Eczema is a type of allergic skin inflammation with significant exudative tendency. Eczema is generally classified into acute, subacute, and chronic types. Acute eczema mainly presents with symmetrical erythematous patches, papules, vesicles, exudation, and pruritus; subacute eczema usually evolves from acute eczema, primarily showing papules, scales, and crusts. Chronic eczema mainly manifests as thickened skin, increased pigmentation, roughness, desquamation, and lichenification.
Traditional Chinese medicine attributes eczema to internal and external factors causing wind, dampness, and heat stagnating in the skin. Internal factors include latent heart fire, spleen dampness, and inherent constitutional intolerance.
The TCM therapeutic approach is clearing heat and dampness, dispelling wind, relieving itching, and promoting blood circulation while nourishing blood. The recommended herbal formula is as follows:
