Formula for Treating Eczema
Eczema Formula: Bai Zhi 4g, Qingdai 3g, each 9g of Shengdi, Difuzi, Mazixian, Bajiangcao, Zicao, Heye, and Baixianpi.
If itching is severe, add Lianxin 4g; if constipation, add Gualou 10g; if excessive exudate, add Kuxin 6g, Yimi 9g, and Huashi 10g.
Function: Clearing heat and detoxifying, drying dampness, relieving itching.
Indication: Eczema caused by external invasion of wind-damp-heat pathogens, blood heat with toxin accumulation, manifesting on the skin.
Mechanism: Mazixian, Bajiangcao, and Qingdai clear heat, dry dampness, and relieve itching; Shengdi and Zicao nourish blood, activate blood, cool blood, and detoxify; Bai Zhi disperses wind and removes dampness; Heye rises lightly, facilitating outward penetration of medicinal effects to the skin. The entire formula clears heat and dries dampness, activates blood, dispels wind, and relieves itching, achieving relief from itching and disappearance of rashes.
