Codonopsis and Fresh Fish
[Ingredients] Codonopsis 20g, carrot 50g, cooking wine, soy sauce, ginger, green onion each 10g, salt 5g, monosodium glutamate, sugar each 3g, vegetable oil 50g, fresh broth 200g, coriander 30g.
[Preparation] 1. Soak codonopsis until soft, cut into 3cm segments; wash carrot, cut into 3cm cubes; slice ginger, chop green onion; wash coriander, cut into 4cm pieces.
2. After slaughtering the fresh fish, remove scales, gills, and internal organs, clean thoroughly, drain, then deep-fry briefly in oil heated to six-tenths heat, remove, drain excess oil, and set aside.
3. Heat a wok over high flame, add vegetable oil, heat to six-tenths, add ginger and green onion to stir-fry until fragrant, then add fresh fish, cooking wine, codonopsis, carrot, salt, monosodium glutamate, sugar, soy sauce, and fresh broth. Cook until done, transfer to a serving dish, add coriander, and serve.
[Usage] Serve as a meal accompaniment.
[Efficacy] Tonifies middle energizer, strengthens qi, generates body fluids, promotes urination, enriches blood.
[Indications] Spleen-stomach deficiency, dual deficiency of qi and blood, fatigue, poor appetite, thirst, edema, etc.
[Notes] This formula has mild nature, neither dry nor greasy, excels in tonifying spleen and lung qi, nourishing blood, and generating body fluids. It is commonly used in general tonics as a substitute for ginseng.
