Impatiens Seed
This product is the dried mature seed of *Impatiens balsamina* L., a plant from the Balsaminaceae family. Harvested when fruits are nearly ripe in summer and autumn, sun-dried, then cleaned by removing fruit peel and impurities.
【Appearance】Oval, flattened, or ovate in shape, 2–3 mm long, 1.5–2.5 mm wide. Surface brownish or gray-brown, rough, with sparse white or light yellowish spots. Micropyle located at the narrow end, slightly protruding. Firm texture, thin seed coat, embryo gray-white, semi-transparent, oily. Odorless, taste mild and slightly bitter.
【Taste and Nature】Slightly bitter and pungent, warm; mildly toxic. Enters lung and liver meridians.
【Functions and Indications】Breaks blood stasis, softens hardness, eliminates accumulation. Used for masses, tumors, amenorrhea, dysphagia.
【Dosage and Administration】3–4.5g.
【Caution】Use with caution during pregnancy.
