Prune Porridge
[Ingredients] 20 grams of prunes, 100 grams of glutinous rice, appropriate amount of rock sugar.
[Preparation] Boil prunes to extract concentrated juice, filter out residue, then add glutinous rice to cook into porridge. After porridge is cooked, add appropriate amount of rock sugar and gently heat until dissolved.
[Usage] Twice daily, consume warm.
[Effects] Generates body fluids and quenches thirst, consolidates the lungs and stops cough, astringes the intestines and stops diarrhea. Suitable for chronic diarrhea and persistent cough accompanied by dry mouth and lack of appetite.
[Comment] Contraindicated in acute diarrhea and cold-induced cough.
