Ginseng Lotus Seed Soup
【Ingredients】10 grams of white ginseng, 10 lotus seeds, 30 grams of rock sugar.
【Preparation】Place white ginseng and lotus seeds (remove hearts) in a bowl, add clean water to soak, then add rock sugar. Put the bowl into a steamer and steam over water for one hour. Ginseng can be reused up to three times; on the next day, add fresh lotus seeds, rock sugar, and water, and repeat the steaming process.
【Usage】Drink the soup, eat the lotus seeds. On the third occasion, consume ginseng together with the lotus seeds. Take once in the morning and once in the evening.
【Efficacy】Tonifies qi and strengthens the spleen.
【Application】After illness, physical weakness, qi deficiency, poor appetite, fatigue, spontaneous sweating, and spleen-deficiency diarrhea.
【Caution】Avoid iron utensils; avoid radish and tea.
