[Comment] Radish is sweet and pungent, enters lung, stomach, and large intestine meridians. It regulates qi, aids digestion, stops cough, resolves phlegm, reduces dryness, generates fluids, cools and quenches thirst, disperses blood stasis, detoxifies, and promotes bowel movements—truly a precious health tonic. Folk wisdom says: "Eat radish in winter, ginger in summer, stay healthy all year round."
In recent years, domestic and international research shows that white radish lowers lipid levels, softens blood vessels, stabilizes blood pressure, and helps prevent hyperlipidemia, fatty liver, coronary heart disease, and arteriosclerosis. Many countries abroad have achieved significant results in developing and utilizing radish products—various radish beverages now emerging. Radish can be stir-fried, stewed, pickled—convenient to consume. Those with spleen deficiency, loose stools, or excessive gastrointestinal motility should use cautiously, or add a small amount of ginger before eating.
