Shiitake Mushroom and Coix Rice
[Ingredients] Rice 250 grams, Raw coix seed 50 grams, Dried shiitake mushrooms 50 grams, Oil tofu 3 pieces, Green beans half a small bowl, Oil and salt to taste.
[Preparation] Wash raw coix seed and soak until soft. Soak shiitake mushrooms in warm water; collect the soaking liquid, let it settle, then filter and reserve. Cut shiitake mushrooms and oil tofu into small pieces. Mix rice, coix seed, shiitake mushrooms, oil tofu, and mushroom soaking liquid in a bowl, add oil and salt for seasoning, sprinkle green beans on top, then steam until cooked.
[Usage] Use as staple food for three meals daily, continue for 15 days.
[Effect] Strengthen spleen, eliminate dampness, regulate Qi, and resolve phlegm.
[Indication] Common food for liver cancer patients.
[Comment] Shiitake mushrooms are sweet and neutral—delicious delicacy with functions of invigorating Qi, preventing hunger, treating wind disorders, breaking blood stasis, resolving phlegm, and regulating Qi. Coix seed enhances spleen-strengthening and dampness-eliminating effects, clears heat, and drains pus. Both are excellent anti-cancer ingredients.
