Lamb Kidney Wontons
[Ingredients] 50 grams lamb kidney, 3 grams cinnamon bark, 2 grams Sichuan pepper, 5 grams Ligusticum chuanxiong, 250 grams flour, soy sauce, refined salt as needed.
[Preparation] Grind cinnamon bark, Sichuan pepper, and Ligusticum into powder. Clean lamb kidney, remove skin and impurities, mince into paste. Mix with powdered herbs and add soy sauce and salt to make filling. Prepare wontons using standard method.
[Usage] Consume warm.
[Action] Warms yang, dispels cold, activates blood, relieves pain. Indicated for menstrual pain.
[Comment] Lamb kidney tonifies kidney essence and nourishes the kidneys. Cinnamon bark and Sichuan pepper warm and unblock meridians, assist yang and dispel cold. Ligusticum activates blood, moves qi, and relieves pain. This is an excellent formula for conditions of internal cold in the uterus or concurrent cold-damp invasion.
