Salvia Miltiorrhiza Pain-Relief Wine
[Ingredients] 30 grams Salvia miltiorrhiza, 30 grams Corydalis yanhusuo, 15 grams Achyranthes bidentata, 15 grams Carthamus tinctorius, 15 grams Curcuma aromatica, 500 grams white liquor.
[Preparation] Place raw Salvia miltiorrhiza, Corydalis yanhusuo, Achyranthes bidentata, Carthamus tinctorius, and Curcuma aromatica in a bottle, pour white liquor over them, seal tightly, soak for about half a month. Shake the bottle vigorously every three days for about three minutes each time.
[Usage] Begin drinking two days before menstruation, three times daily, 1–2 spoonfuls each time, stop when menstruation ends. Complete four menstrual cycles as one course.
[Function] Activate blood, resolve stasis, regulate qi and menstruation. Suitable for dysmenorrhea due to qi stagnation and blood stasis.
[Comment] Salvia miltiorrhiza is red in color, entering heart channel, primarily acting on blood aspect. Its bitter and descending nature disperses stasis, its cool property clears heat and cools blood. It excels at cooling blood, activating blood, removing stasis, and promoting new blood formation. When stasis is resolved, menstruation becomes regular; when heat is eliminated, spirit calms naturally. For any condition caused by blood stasis and heat, this herb is essential.
