[Note] Yam comes in wild and cultivated varieties. Choose those with very white flesh, sweet taste, ample starch, large size, and firm texture—considered premium quality. It can be used in desserts or savory dishes and is widely favored as a medicinal food. This recipe yields soft, sweet, fragrant, and delicious results, highly appreciated by elderly patients suffering from long-term diarrhea.
