Goji, Chrysanthemum, and Cassia Seed Tea
[Ingredients] 10 grams goji berries, 3 grams chrysanthemum, 20 grams cassia seeds.
[Preparation] Place goji berries, chrysanthemum, and cassia seeds together in a large covered cup. Pour boiling water over, cover, steep for 15 minutes before drinking.
[Usage] Drink as tea, repeatedly throughout the day; typically can be re-steeped 3 to 5 times.
[Benefits] Clears liver fire, nourishes yin, improves vision, lowers blood pressure and lipids.
[Indications] Post-stroke sequelae due to liver fire excess and yang hyperactivity, symptoms include limb numbness or paralysis, dizziness, heaviness in head, facial flushing, irritability, elevated blood pressure, red tongue with yellow coating, wiry pulse.
[Note] Modern experimental studies confirm that goji berries, chrysanthemum, and cassia seeds each have varying degrees of coronary artery dilation, improved microcirculation, lipid reduction, and blood pressure-lowering effects. This tea therapy yields satisfactory results for post-stroke sequelae with excess syndrome, particularly liver fire and yang hyperactivity.
