Raw Rehmannia Crab Soup
[Ingredients] Raw rehmannia 30 g, one crab.
[Preparation] For each serving, use raw rehmannia, fresh crab, and sufficient water for decoction.
[Usage] Strain out residue, drink the soup once daily for three consecutive days.
[Function] Clear heat, cool blood, resolve heat and dissipate nodules. Used as auxiliary treatment for acute pharyngitis.
[Caution] This formula can be used year-round. According to *Daily Use Herbal Medicine*, "crab should not be eaten with persimmons." *Compendium of Materia Medica* records: "Crab should not be consumed with persimmons or herba schizonepetae."
[Comment] Raw rehmannia is sweet, slightly bitter, cold; enters heart, liver, and kidney meridians. It clears heat and cools blood. Commonly used for yin deficiency with internal heat, or heat stagnation. Crabs are salty and cold, entering liver and stomach meridians. They contain protein, fat, carbohydrates, inorganic salts, various vitamins, etc. Function: clear heat and disperse nodules. *Shen Nong's Classic of Materia Medica* states: "Mainly treats heat-induced nodular pain." Famous Tang dynasty physician Meng Xing believed: "Mainly disperses various heat conditions, treats gastric qi." Together, they synergistically clear heat, cool blood, and resolve heat-induced nodules.
