How to Enjoy Alcohol While Nourishing the Kidneys
For those who enjoy drinking alcohol, the following herbal wines are recommended—satisfying personal preferences while aiding treatment.
(1) Seahorse Wine
30g seahorse, crushed, soaked in about 500g baijiu (white liquor) for 7 days. When finished, add more liquor and repeat soaking. Take 15g twice daily.
(2) Vitality Wine
80g rehmannia root, 40g cornus fruit, 40g chinese yam, 80g goji berries, 40g dodder seed, 40g ligustrum fruit, 80g cistanche, 40g salt-fried eucommia, 10g dog kidney, 20g white peony root, 10.5kg 30-degree baijiu, 700g sucrose. All ten ingredients ground into coarse powder. Mix sucrose with baijiu, soak for 7 days, filter. Take 1–2 times daily, 30–50g per dose.
(3) Deer Antler Wine
15g deer antler, 60g chinese yam, 1000g baijiu. Place all three ingredients in a sealed container and soak for 7 days. Consume 2–3 times daily, about half a liang (approx. 25g) each time.
Caution: Although these herbal wines can strengthen the waist and kidneys, treat lower abdominal cold pain, premature ejaculation, seminal emission, enuresis, and frequent urination, they are not suitable for individuals with loose stools or external fevers.
