Nutritional Tonic Recipe for Kidney Health
250g raw chestnuts, 1 pig kidney, 250g glutinous rice, 6g tangerine peel, 10 cloves, 2g salt.
【Efficacy】Chestnuts are warm in nature, rich in proteins, fats, sugars, vitamins, and other nutrients. They nourish the kidneys, strengthen tendons and bones, and benefit the spleen. Pig kidney porridge also nourishes the kidneys, supports the stomach, and strengthens the body. Consuming raw chestnuts with pig kidney porridge together achieves synergistic effects in tonifying the kidneys, strengthening bones, and reinforcing the spleen. Suitable for symptoms such as kidney deficiency-related lower back pain, weak legs, and frequent urination. Ideal for elderly individuals with weak kidney function.
【Preparation Process】
1. Dry fresh chestnuts in a cool, ventilated place for later use.
2. Clean the pig kidney, remove membranes and sinews, split it open, trim off the core, and dice into about 0.8 cm cubes. Wash and set aside tangerine peel.
3. Rinse glutinous rice thoroughly. Combine pig kidney, tangerine peel, cloves, and rice in a pot with about 2500 ml of water. Simmer over medium heat until the porridge is fully cooked. Remove tangerine peel, then add salt for seasoning.
4. Take about ten raw chestnuts, shell and eat the flesh slowly, chewing well and swallowing the juice. Then consume one bowl of pig kidney porridge.
