Watermelon-Tomato Juice<br>[Composition] Appropriate amount of watermelon, appropriate amount of tomato.<br>[Preparation] Remove watermelon pulp from seeds, extract juice through cheesecloth; blanch tomatoes in boiling water for 2–3 minutes, peel, remove seeds, extract juice through cheesecloth. Mix equal parts of both juices.<br>[Usage] Drink as needed.<br>[Editorial Note] Watermelon clears heat and relieves summer heat, generates body fluids and quenches thirst—it is known as the "natural Baihu Decoction." Tomato also generates body fluids and is rich in nutrients. Combined, they make an excellent remedy for summer heat.<br>3. Green Dragon White Tiger Soup<br>[Composition] 250 grams white radish, 30 grams fresh green fruit.<br>[Preparation] Wash and slice white radish; wash fresh green fruit, score several deep lines on the surface with a knife. Boil together in a pot with adequate water for 20 minutes.<br>[Usage] Drink as tea frequently. For those with sore throat, gargle with cooled juice.<br>[Editorial Note] White radish regulates qi and aids digestion; green fruit clears heat and detoxifies. Together, they effectively treat conditions caused by accumulated summer heat and dampness, such as sore throat, chest tightness, and excessive phlegm—especially beneficial when taken.
