Twelve Dietary Therapies for Hepatocellular Carcinoma
(1) Goji Berry Softshell Turtle: 30g goji berries, 150g softshell turtle. Steam together until tender and edible. Consume once weekly, not excessively—especially avoid by those with indigestion or insomnia. Avoid alcoholic beverages, chili peppers, sow pork, leeks, fatty meats, fried foods, and spicy seasonings. Functions include nourishing yin, clearing heat, dispersing nodules, cooling blood, and enhancing immunity.
(2) Poria-Cocos Steamed Mandarin Fish: 15g poria, 150g mandarin fish. Add water and seasonings, steam until tender. Eat fish and drink soup. Benefits include strengthening spleen, promoting diuresis, invigorating qi, and nourishing blood.
(3) Green Rind Tomato Tofu Soup: 30g green rind of watermelon, 50g tomato, 150g tofu. Cut all ingredients into fine strips and prepare as soup. (4) Thistle Carp Soup: 30g thistle, 1 carp. Boil together with appropriate seasonings. Regular consumption helps resolve stasis, stop vomiting, and improve symptoms. Avoid by those with spleen-stomach deficiency-cold or no blood stasis.
(5) Lotus Seed Stewed Meat: 30g lotus seeds, 100g lean pork. Place in a clay pot with adequate water, stew until tender, discard residue, eat meat and drink soup. Regular use helps clear heat, remove phlegm, and relieve constipation. Suitable for those with ascites.
(6) Mint Brown Sugar Drink: 15g mint, 60g brown sugar. Simmer into a decoction, add sugar for flavor. Can replace tea. This medicinal diet clears heat, promotes diuresis, and reduces jaundice. Recommended for those with jaundice or ascites.
(7) Green Fruit Fried Egg: 20g green fruit, 1 egg. First cook green fruit until tender, then place egg inside and simmer together. Consume 3 times weekly, 1 egg per time. Helps break up blood stasis and disperse stagnation, suitable for hepatocellular carcinoma patients with pain and obvious ascites.
(8) Fresh Kiwifruit Root Stewed Meat: 100g fresh kiwifruit root, 200g lean pork. Boil together in a clay pot with water until tender, discard residue. Regular consumption helps clear heat, detoxify, promote diuresis, and activate blood.
(9) Bitter Herb Juice: Wash fresh bitter herbs, crush into juice, add sugar. Consume 3 times weekly. Clears heat, suitable for hepatocellular carcinoma patients with dry mouth and loss of appetite.
(10) Purslane Boiled Eggs: 100g purslane, 2 fresh eggs. First boil purslane to make 300ml of liquid, then use this broth to boil eggs. Consume daily, including the broth. Clears heat, detoxifies, reduces swelling and stasis, relieves pain. Ideal for large hepatocellular carcinoma patients with persistent fever, thirst, and irritability.
(11) Lotus Root Juice Fried Eggs: 30ml lotus root juice, 1 egg, small amount of rock sugar. Mix egg with juice, add rock sugar, steam slightly until cooked. Regular consumption stops bleeding, relieves pain, and disperses stasis. Recommended for hepatocellular carcinoma patients with bleeding.
(12) Yam and Broad Bean Porridge: 30g Chinese yam, 10g broad beans, 100g rice. Wash yam, peel, cut into slices; partially cook broad beans, add rice and yam, cook into porridge.
