Dietary Therapy for Elderly Urinary Frequency Relief

🔑 Keywords: Pharmacological diet
As people age, frequent urination is very common, mainly due to weakened kidney qi and physical frailty. Besides necessary medication, here are several highly effective health-preserving medicinal diets.
1. Stir-fried Scallions with Shrimp
200g fresh shrimp, washed and drained. Place in a bowl with 40g egg white, cooking wine, dry starch, and salt. Mix well, stir-fry in oil until shrimp turns color, then drain oil. Leave a little oil in the wok, add 300g scallions, stir briefly until soft, add salt and cooking wine, mix in shrimp, thicken with starch, and finish with a drizzle of lard.
2. Herba Epimedii and Polygala Wine
20g Herba Epimedii, 20g Polygala, 30g Chinese yam, 10,000g rice wine. Place the three herbs in wine, seal, let sit for 10 days. Take 1 small spoonful twice daily.
3. Medicinal Steamed Pork Intestine
200g cooked pork intestine (cut into chunks), 20g red dates, 20g longan, 10g deseeded dried lychee, 10g each of goji berries, ginseng, Chinese yam, processed aconite, 3g white pepper powder, 5g salt, 10g lard, 30g rock sugar.
