With the arrival of winter, many people tend to experience internal heat. The following dietary methods for clearing heat may serve as references.
Throat dryness and hoarseness: 1. Drink diluted salt water; 2. Drink tangerine peel sugar tea.
Throat swelling and pain: 1. Crush tender loofah and extract juice for frequent gargling; 2. Rinse mouth with equal parts vinegar and water to relieve pain; 3. Gargle with one spoon of soy sauce for about one minute, then spit out—repeat 3–4 times.
Mouth blisters: 1. Chew a few slices of ginger slowly to gradually eliminate blisters; 2. Chew 1–2 cloves of garlic or garlic leaves raw—the blisters will gradually disappear.
Cough with phlegm: 1. Boil 10g mulberry bark, 5g licorice root, and 5g bamboo leaf together, wash clean, add appropriate water, and decoct for consumption—effective for morning phlegm; 2. Crush one piece of fresh ginger, mix with one egg and a small amount of sesame oil. Fry like a sunny-side-up egg, consume while hot, twice daily.
