Four Dietary Remedies for Dry Cough

Four Dietary Remedies for Dry Cough
In late autumn and early winter, those with weaker immunity are prone to catching colds, resulting in dry cough. Main symptoms include persistent dry cough without phlegm or very little phlegm that is hard to expel, often lasting a week or longer—very uncomfortable.
It is recommended that sufferers of dry cough, alongside hospital treatment, adopt dietary remedies for better outcomes.
Remedy One: Persimmon Cake with Fritillary Powder
Take 2 persimmon cakes and 10 grams of fritillary powder (ground Fritillaria bulb). Remove the cores from the persimmon cakes, mix in the fritillary powder, steam until cooked. Consume once in the morning and once in the evening. Particularly effective for dry cough without phlegm.
Remedy Two: White Radish and Tangerine Peel Decoction
Use 250 grams of white radish and 3 grams of aged tangerine peel (available at pharmacies). Chop the radish finely, combine with the peel, boil into a decoction, drink the liquid. One dose per day, divided into two servings. Effective for dry cough with minimal phlegm.
Remedy Three: Fritillary Steamed Pear
Take 10 grams of fritillary powder and 1 snow pear. Peel the pear, remove the core, slice it, add 15 grams of rock sugar, mix with fritillary powder, place in a bowl, add sufficient water, steam over water for about one hour on low heat. Divide into two portions, consume both the broth and pear. Offers auxiliary benefits for dry cough with little phlegm.
Remedy Four: Sugarcane Juice Congee
Take several pieces of fresh sugarcane, peel and cut off joints, extract juice. Cook 50 grams of rice into congee. When nearly done, add sugarcane juice and a small amount of honey. Consume 1–2 times daily. Helpful for dry cough without phlegm.
