Celery comes in water celery and dry celery. This article refers to dry celery. Traditional Chinese medicine considers celery sweet in taste, cold in nature. It has effects of dispersing stasis, breaking nodules, reducing swelling, detoxifying, lowering blood pressure, and stopping dizziness. Celery roots clear heat and promote diuresis. During treatment, avoid chicken and rabbit meat.
Hypertension: Remove roots from fresh celery, wash thoroughly, crush, squeeze juice, mix with equal amount of honey. Take three times daily, 40 ml each time. Celery juice should be prepared fresh daily and not heated. Avoid garlic, green onions, onions, tofu, and steamed buns during this regimen.
Hematuria: Wash fresh celery, chop finely, crush, extract juice, heat and serve. Take 60 grams each time, three times daily. Usually cured within 2–3 days. Also avoid spicy foods.
Filariasis with chyluria: Use an appropriate amount of celery root, add one bowl of water, decoct and take. Take once in the morning and once in the evening, usually cured within 3–7 days.
Headache: Use an appropriate amount of celery root, wash, crush, and cook with eggs.
Diabetes: Take 500 grams of celery, wash, chop, crush, boil, then add sugar and consume.
