Dietary therapy for gastric cancer
(1) Sugarcane-Ginger Drink: Appropriate amounts of sugarcane and ginger. Squeeze half a cup of sugarcane juice, mix with one spoonful of ginger juice, then stew. Consume twice weekly after warming. Helps harmonize the middle energizer and strengthen the stomach; suitable for early-stage gastric cancer.
(2) Brown Sugar Tofu Soup: 100g tofu, 60g brown sugar, 1 bowl of water. Dissolve brown sugar in water, add tofu, boil for 10 minutes. Regular consumption helps harmonize the stomach and stop bleeding; recommended for obvious hematemesis.
(3) Tangerine Peel-Red Date Drink: One piece of tangerine peel, three red dates. Boil together after removing date pits. Once daily. This remedy promotes qi flow, strengthens spleen, reduces reverse flow, stops vomiting—suitable for cold-deficiency vomiting.
(4) Radish Seed Porridge: 30g radish seeds, appropriate amount of glutinous rice. Roast radish seeds first, then cook with rice into porridge. One serving daily, consumed at breakfast. This formula eliminates food stagnation and relieves distension—ideal for noticeable abdominal bloating.
(5) Tangerine Peel Lean Meat Porridge: 9g tangerine peel, 12g cuttlebone, 50g lean pork, appropriate glutinous rice. Simmer tangerine peel and cuttlebone with rice until cooked, remove them, add sliced lean meat, re-cook, season with a little salt. Two times daily, for breakfast and dinner. This porridge reduces reverse flow, stops vomiting, strengthens spleen and regulates qi—first choice for bloated patients.
(6) Lettuce Cake: 250g lettuce, 250g jujube, 500g flour. Chop lettuce finely, cook jujubes until soft, remove pits, mix with flour to make cakes. Eat as snack. Strengthens spleen and stomach, dries dampness, promotes urination; suitable for loose stools or diarrhea.
(7) Lotus Seed Six-Ingredient Cake: 30g lotus seed, yam, poria, lotus seed meat, coix seed, and broad bean, 500g rice flour. Grind all ingredients into powder, mix evenly with rice flour. Two or three times daily, 6g each time, add sugar and stir with boiling water. Can also be eaten as cake. This formula strengthens spleen and effectively treats diarrhea.
(8) Longan-Peanut Soup: 250g peanuts with red skin, 5 jujubes, 12g longan flesh. Remove jujube pits, boil with peanuts and longan until cooked. Once daily. Nourishes blood and strengthens spleen; recommended for evident anemia.
(9) Plum Porridge: 20g plum, 100g glutinous rice, appropriate rock sugar. First extract concentrated plum juice, strain out residue, add glutinous rice to cook into porridge. Add a little rock sugar when nearly done, simmer briefly. Once daily. This formula has astringent and hemostatic effects.
(10) Hemp Seed Porridge: 20g sesame seeds, 20g peach kernels, 80g glutinous rice. Cook all together into porridge. Every other day. Moistens intestines and promotes bowel movement—ideal for dry, hard stools.
(11) Sesame Porridge: 6g sesame seeds, 30g glutinous rice, appropriate honey. Toast sesame seeds, add to rice porridge just before it finishes cooking, then stir in honey. Once daily. This dish nourishes blood and moistens intestines.
(12) Fish Maw Crisps: Fish maw (from large yellow croaker, carp, yellow croaker, eel, etc.), sesame oil. Fry fish maw until crisp, crush into fragments. Three times daily, 10g each time, taken with warm water. This dish nourishes kidney essence, enriches marrow, stops bleeding, disperses stasis, reduces swelling.
(13) Stomach-Soothing Anti-Cancer Tea: 30g sunflower stem or sunflower head. Prepare by decocting the above ingredients into tea. Drink as tea long-term. Has anti-cancer, anti-inflammatory, and preventive effects. Recommended for postoperative anastomotic inflammation in gastric cancer patients.
