Typha Wood Wine
[Drug Composition] Typha wood (peeled, finely chopped) one jin
[Function and Indications] Expels wind-cold, relieves abdominal masses, accumulations, and chronic fatigue due to deficiency.
[Dosage and Administration] Warmly drink one bowl empty stomach, twice daily.
[Preparation Method] Place the herbs in a clean silk bag, soak in three hu of good wine. Soak seven days in spring/summer, fourteen days in autumn/winter.

Smilax Wine
[Drug Composition] Smilax one hu
[Dosage and Administration] Drink as needed; within three to five doses, symptoms return to normal.
[Preparation Method] Clean and cut smilax, boil with three hu of water until reduced to nine dou, use to soak yeast, then boil remaining residue with two hu of water until one hu, use to ferment rice into wine. Wait until mature, then extract juice.
[Precautions] Avoid use in individuals with yin deficiency and heat constitution.

Perilla and Achyranthes Wine
[Drug Composition] Perilla, achyranthes, salvia, purple aster, tangerine peel, each three taels; ginger six taels; fresh rehmannia (cut) four taels; fermented soybean (roasted) three sheng; angelica root four taels; hemp seed (roasted) one sheng five he
[Function and Indications] Treats accumulations.
[Dosage and Administration] Warmly drink one bowl, take with peach kernel pills (see note).
[Preparation Method] Finely chop herbs, place in a silk bag, soak in two dou five sheng of clear wine for three nights.
[Precautions] Avoid wormwood.

[Note] Peach Kernel Pill Formula: Peach kernels (skin and tip removed, roasted) eight fen, tortoise shell (roasted) six fen, citric fruit (roasted), white atractylodes, each six fen; platycodon, evodia, areca nut, euphorbia, dry ginger, each five fen; processed aconite root (roasted) three fen, peony root four fen half, purple aster, fine cinnamon, ginseng, tangerine peel (honey-roasted), each four fen; sapindus (skin and seeds removed) three fen. Crush and sieve, mix with honey to form pills the size of goji berries. Take nine to ten pills each time, increase to twenty pills. Avoid seaweed, cabbage, pork, cold water, raw vegetables, peaches, plums, quail meat, etc.
Abelmoschus Root Wine
[Drug Composition] Abelmoschus root one bundle
[Function and Indications] Treats tumors, headaches, generalized jaundice and swelling.
[Dosage and Administration] Take five he to one sheng empty stomach, three times daily.
[Preparation Method] Wash clean, drain water, finely chop, soak in pure wine.

Radix Dioscoreae Wine — Also known as "Yellow Drug Wine"
[Drug Composition] Radix Dioscoreae (crushed fragments) 300g, white wine as needed
[Function and Indications] Cools blood, detoxifies, reduces swelling and disperses nodules. Used for symptomatic treatment of esophageal cancer, goiter, thyroid enlargement.
[Dosage and Administration] 100ml daily, divided into several doses, taken frequently. One course lasts four to seven days.
[Preparation Method] Crush or pulverize herbs, place in a covered container, add required solvent, seal, macerate for several days, decant the supernatant, then re-macerate the residue with additional solvent until herbs are nearly flavorless. Combine all extracts, let stand one or two days, filter, add sufficient white wine to reach 1000ml total volume.
[Precautions] Stop taking if total intake reaches 3L; wait ten days and check liver function. If jaundice appears, stop immediately and treat promptly.

Note: A unit treated 48 cases of thyroid adenoma using this method; 40 cured, 5 markedly improved, 1 effective, 2 ineffective, overall effective rate 95.8%. Among cured patients followed up for one year, 3 recurred, but were successfully treated again with the same preparation.

Bees Nest and Whole Scorpion Wine
[Drug Composition] Bees nest 20g, whole scorpion 20g, mountain gentian 20g, silkworm pupa 25g, toad skin 15g
[Function and Indications] Esophageal cancer, gastric cancer.
[Dosage and Administration] Three times daily, 10–15ml empty stomach each time.
[Preparation Method] Crush the five herbs, place in a clean container, soak in 450ml of wine for seven days, then open and use.

Deer Musk Night Bright Wine
[Drug Composition] Deer musk 9g, night bright sand 60g, ox bile 3g
[Function and Indications] Activates blood circulation, unblocks meridians, reduces swelling and detoxifies. Treats pain from esophageal cancer.
[Dosage and Administration] Take as needed orally.

Note: Ox bile is a precious herb—a gallstone from a cow’s gallbladder, occasionally from the bile duct (now also synthesized chemically from bovine or porcine bile, called artificial ox bile). It tastes bitter, is cold in nature, aromatic in smell, possesses functions of cooling the liver, calming wind, opening orifices, resolving phlegm, and effectively clearing heat and detoxifying. Besides treating febrile diseases with mental confusion, it is commonly used for abscesses and swellings.
Camphor Pain Relief Wine
[Drug Composition] Camphor (high-quality camphor, top-grade better) one liang, white wine one jin
[Function and Indications] Relieves pain, used for severe cancer pain in late stages.
[Dosage and Administration] Apply solution to areas of intense radiation-induced pain. Initially, apply more than ten times daily; reduce frequency as pain lessens, eventually applying several times daily.
[Preparation Method] Mix and dissolve thoroughly for immediate use.
[Precautions] Do not use on ulcerated wounds.
