Lumbar Disc Herniation Herbal Wine
Zi Jing Huo Xue Wine
[Composition] Cortex Cercidiphylli, Herba Dicranopteris, Herba Spatholobii, Radix Notoginseng, Radix Aconiti Kusnezoffii, Radix Aconiti Carmichaelii, Camphor, Borneolum, each in equal parts.
[Function and Indication] Dispelling wind and cold, warming meridians, promoting blood circulation and relieving pain; used for lumbar disc herniation.
[Usage and Dosage] Apply the herbal wine during massage therapy. Patient lies prone with a pillow under the chest, arms placed beside the pillow, and all muscles relaxed. The practitioner stands beside the bed, clenches fist, dips into the herbal wine, and repeatedly massages along the sciatic nerve from the lower back down to the affected limb, gradually increasing pressure from light to heavy, lasting 15–20 minutes. Press firmly at areas of significant pain, focusing on these spots. Once daily, one course lasts one month.
[Preparation Method] Equal parts of the above herbs are soaked in white liquor over 50% alcohol content for more than one month, then filtered and stored for use.

Bi Ling Herbal Wine
[Composition] Eucommia ulmoides, Frankincense, Myrrh, Sanqi, Leech, Salvia miltiorrhiza, each 30g; Coptis 20g; Safflower 10g; Centipede 2 pieces; Scorpion 12g; White flower snake 2 pieces
[Function and Indication] Activating collaterals and blood, strengthening waist, reducing swelling, relaxing tendons and relieving pain.
[Usage and Dosage] Take 50ml daily, divided into two doses. Continue for one month.
[Preparation Method] Soak the above herbs in 2500ml of white liquor for half a month.

Note: Used this wine to treat patients after lumbar disc herniation surgery, guiding them through back muscle exercises. After three weeks, they were able to walk with a lumbar corset. Among 72 cases treated, 9 showed improvement, with a total effective rate of 96.4%.
