Nasal Disease Medicinal Wine
Radish Wine
[Ingredients] Radish
[Function & Indication] Treats uncontrollable nosebleeds.
[Dosage & Administration] Warm, filter out residue, drink all at once.
[Preparation Method] Use any amount of radish, cut into one heaping spoonful, place in a wine cup. First boil wine until boiling, then add radish, steam for one to two boiling cycles.

Gourd Wine
[Ingredients] Bitter calabash seeds (crushed) 30g
[Function & Indication] Nasal congestion, eye discomfort, chest oppression.
[Dosage & Administration] Place small amounts into nostrils, three to four times daily.
[Preparation Method] Put the above ingredients in a clean bottle, soak with 150ml of alcohol, open after seven days, filter out residue for later use.

Ephedra Wine
[Ingredients] Raw ephedra nodes, raw ephedra roots each 80g, white wine 1500ml
[Function & Indication] Main treatment for rhinophyma.
[Dosage & Administration] Oral, 25ml twice daily (morning and evening), ten days per course.
[Preparation Method] First chop ephedra nodes and roots, rinse clean with water, place in a clean aluminum kettle, add 1500ml of white wine, cover, boil vigorously for 30 minutes over high flame, then place in cool place for 3 hours, filter through gauze and store in bottle.

Comment: The author treated 18 cases, achieving 15 cures and 3 improvements. After 5–8 days of medication, yellow-white secretions appear at the lesion site, followed by crust formation and shedding, turning red locally. After 20–30 days, skin gradually returns to normal, other symptoms disappear.
Light Powder Wine
[Ingredients] Light powder, sulfur each 15g, raw rhubarb, hundred-part each 50g
[Function & Indication] Clears heat, detoxifies, cools blood, kills parasites. Indicated for rhinophyma.
[Dosage & Administration] External use. Each morning and night, after washing face with warm water and drying, apply a small amount of medicine with a brush onto the affected area for 3–5 minutes. One month constitutes a course. Usually one or two courses suffice for complete recovery.
[Preparation Method] Grind all herbs into fine powder, dissolve in 300ml of 95% alcohol, shake twice daily, soak for six to ten days before applying externally.
