Magnetite Wine
[Ingredients] Old iron thirty jin, magnetite one jin
[Function & Indication] Treats deafness lasting thirty years.
[Dosage & Administration] Drink until drunk, wrap magnetite in cloth and insert into ear, cover head and lie down. When sober, remove magnetite—cured.
[Preparation Method] Soak thirty jin of old iron in seven dou of water for three nights to extract juice. Ferment seven dou of rice with yeast using standard brewing methods. When mature, add one jin of crushed magnetite, soak in wine for three days to complete.

Magnetite and Mu Tong Wine — Original name “Magnetite Wine”
[Ingredients] Magnetite (crushed, wrapped in cloth) half liang, Mu Tong, Changpu (soaked in rice wash for one day, chopped and baked) each half jin
[Function & Indication] Treats kidney deficiency-related deafness and tinnitus, ringing in ears like water flow.
[Dosage & Administration] Drink three heaping spoonfuls each time, twice daily.
[Preparation Method] Chop the herbs finely, place in a silk bag, soak in one dou of wine. Seven days in cold weather, three days in hot weather.

Quartz and Magnetite Wine — Original name “White Quartz Immersion Formula”
[Ingredients] White quartz (crushed like sesame seeds), magnetite (heated red, quenched with vinegar, repeated five times, then crushed) each five liang
[Function & Indication] Nourishes essence and marrow, protects spirit, treats rheumatism with joint stiffness, limb pain, immobility, weakness in movement, deafness, and kidney deficiency.
[Dosage & Administration] Consume two to three bowls each time, anytime, warm and drink as needed. Keep body lightly warm with alcohol scent. Refill when nearly finished.
[Preparation Method] Crush and sieve the herbs, pack in a gauze bag, soak in one sheng of wine for five to six days.

Fructus Viticis Wine
[Ingredients] Fructus viticis one sheng
[Function & Indication] Headache due to wind, deafness.
[Dosage & Administration] Warmly drink three heaping spoonfuls, three times daily.
[Preparation Method] Powder the herb, place in a gauze bag, soak in half a sheng of wine for seven nights.
[Caution] Use with caution in cases of blood deficiency with internal heat causing headache and dizziness, or stomach deficiency.

Changpu Hearing Enhancement Wine — Original name “Changpu Immersion Formula”
[Ingredients] Changpu three liang, Mu Tong (chopped) two liang, magnetite (crushed, washed to remove red juice) five liang, Fangfeng (remove root hairs) two liang, Gui Xin two liang, Niuxi (remove sprouts) two liang
[Function & Indication] Deafness due to physical debility.
[Dosage & Administration] Drink one small bowl warm before meals daily.
[Preparation Method] Chop the herbs finely, place in a gauze bag, soak in one hu of wine for seven days.

[Ingredients] Chicken feces white (burned until yellow disappears) half sheng, black beans (burned until crackling stops) one sheng
[Function & Indication] Deafness.

[Preparation Method] Take the two ingredients, first pour two sheng of ash-free wine over them, heat thoroughly, then filter out residue.

Trichosanthes Root Wine
[Ingredients] Trichosanthes root thirty jin
[Function & Indication] Treats deafness lasting two to three years, postpartum lactation failure.
[Dosage & Administration] Drink appropriately.
[Preparation Method] Cut the herb finely, boil in water, brew using standard winemaking methods. Or use one sheng of Trichosanthes root with four sheng of wine, boil three times, filter out residue, divide into three doses.
[Caution] Use with caution in those with spleen and stomach deficiency-cold or loose stools.

Soybean Deafness Treatment Wine — Original name “Soybean Wine Formula”
[Ingredients] Soybeans (selected) one sheng, chicken feces white (crushed, stir-fried) half sheng
[Function & Indication] Deafness, postpartum spinal flexion, limb paralysis, all types of wind disorders in men.
[Dosage & Administration] Divide into three portions, warm and drink, cover with thick clothing to induce sweat.
[Preparation Method] First stir-fry soybeans until cracking stops, then add chicken feces white, pour in three sheng of wine, soak for a long time, then filter out residue.

Wormwood Hearing Recovery Wine — Original name “Wormwood Wine”
[Ingredients] Wormwood (cleaned), Fangfeng (remove forks), Xiang Er (roasted) each three liang, Du Huo (remove root hairs), Mu Tong each three (two) liang, fresh Rehmannia (washed) three liang, Ginseng one (three) liang, Coix seed three (two) liang, Huangqi three liang, Gui (remove coarse skin) one and a half liang, Bai Fu Ling (remove dark skin) two and a half liang
[Function & Indication] Treats wind-heat in kidneys, bone pain, deafness, and real pathogenic factors in kidneys.
[Dosage & Administration] Drink on an empty stomach. Start with one bowl each time, twice daily. Gradually increase dosage to two or three bowls based on tolerance.
