Remedies for Pregnancy-Related Constipation
In necessary cases, avoid medication unless essential. If medication is required, choose mild, non-stimulant drugs that lubricate the intestines and aid defecation rather than acting as laxatives.
1. Soak 15g sweet apricot kernels, 20g peach kernels, and 30g black sesame seeds in a mortar, crush, add water, boil in a pot, and sweeten with rock sugar before consumption.
2. Eat four bananas on an empty stomach. Pregnancy-related constipation often leads to hemorrhoids. Bananas lubricate the intestines and clear intestinal heat, serving as an effective food to promote natural bowel movements without adverse effects.
3. Dissolve 60g honey in warm water and drink on an empty stomach every morning. Honey lubricates the intestines, aids defecation, supports gastrointestinal recovery, and enhances fetal nutrition absorption.
4. Steep 3–6g Cassia Seed in water as tea to prevent constipation.
