Herba Xanthii Longevity Wine—Original name: "Herba Xanthii Wine"
[Drug Composition] Herba Xanthii 1 da hu, Raw Rehmannia 5 da sheng, Eucommia Root (chopped) 3 da sheng, Salvia Root 2 da sheng, Heavenly Gate Root 2 da sheng, Apricot Kernel (remove skin and tip) 1 da sheng, Aralia Root 2 da sheng, Pine Needle 5 da sheng, Lycium Root 5 da sheng, Hemp Seed 1 da dou, Chrysanthemum 1 sheng
[Function and Indications] Prevents diseases, promotes longevity, lightens body.
[Dosage and Administration] Take 5 he each time, twice or thrice daily. Brew annually, consume every March.
[Preparation Method] Harvest Herba Xanthii after June, dry in sun, cut into 1 da hu by September, boil with 3 sheng water to extract 4 dou, soak 2 dou of yeast three times. Use 1 sheng of rice total, soak for 3 days following normal brewing method. Ferment until sour, then drink when wine is mature. For weak or emaciated individuals, regardless of gender, boil Eucommia root, Salvia root, pine needles separately with 3 sheng water to obtain 6 dou, mix with Herba Xanthii juice totaling 1 sheng, soak 5 dou of yeast, use 2.5 sheng rice, divided into four fermentation stages. Crushed apricot kernel added to first fermented rice; mashed raw Rehmannia added to second fermented rice; steamed Heavenly Gate Root peeled and mashed added to third fermented rice; crushed hemp seed added to fourth stage. For headache sufferers, soak chrysanthemum in fifth fermented mash, stir well. When wine matures, it is ready.
