Huishun Immortal Wine—Original name: "Immortal Wine Formula"
[Drug Composition] Wheat (half roasted, placed in new cloth sack hung in well for 7 days, dried, then mixed with half raw wheat, ground into flour) 64 catty, Polygonatum (nine steaming and nine drying, powdered) 8 liang, Huaiqing Prepared Rehmannia 8 liang, Raw Rehmannia 8 liang, Chinese Wolfberry 8 liang, Bitter Stone 8 liang, Red Lead (powdered) 6 qian 4 fen, Milk from healthy young women (mixed with flour powder, blended with fresh spring water into blocks; or wrapped tightly in paper on May 5th and June 6th, stored in cool, quiet room for 7 days to dry) 16 bowls, White Flower Essence (i.e., honey) 16 jin, River and Well Water (i.e., yin-yang water) 16 jin
[Function and Indications] Tonifies and supplements.
[Dosage and Administration] Drink as appropriate.
[Preparation Method] All ingredients are boiled together in a silver pot (a clean iron pot may also be used), cooled and stored. Add 3 jin of good wine lees (new wine sediment), mix with 2 jin of flour paste, blend thoroughly in a ceramic jar, stir with fragrant persimmon branch 2–3 times, seal mouth with paper. Open once every 3–4 days, stir 2–3 times daily for 10 days total. Filter through fine cloth and clarify when wine is mature.
