[Function and Indications] Strengthens kidney yang, replenishes qi and blood, expels wind-dampness, regulates spleen and stomach. Suitable for symptoms caused by yang deficiency and cold excess, qi-blood insufficiency, spleen-stomach qi stagnation, and wind-dampness obstruction such as physical weakness, limp limbs, waist-knee pain, distension in chest and abdomen, diarrhea and accumulation, male seminal emission and impotence, female menstrual irregularity.
[Dosage and Administration] Warmly take. 15g each time, three times daily.
[Preparation Method] Pour 200L of white wine into a vat, soak with 1.5kg of Gardenia until color is suitable, then remove residue. Boil the first group of herbs with water to extract juice, filter out residue. Further concentrate the decoction into a thin paste. Dissolve 10kg of white honey and 6kg of donkey-hide gelatin separately, mix into wine. Then dissolve 20kg of rock sugar in water, add to wine. Finally, mix in the powdered second group of herbs, prepare via cold soaking method.
[Precautions] Most herbs in this formula are warm and hot in nature. Not suitable for young adults with strong constitution and dry blood or those with yin deficiency and fire excess. Using it may not only be ineffective but could exacerbate internal heat, further deplete yin fluids, and even cause bleeding, damaging health.
