Four Simple Acupressure Methods to Reduce Appetite
When sudden hunger strikes, how do you fight back? Try these simple acupressure techniques.
Method 1: Press your index finger firmly onto the "Renzhong" point (between the nose and upper lip). Rapidly press 30 times within 10 seconds. This instantly suppresses stomach hunger. However, avoid doing this in public places if you wish to remain discreet.
Method 2: When craving snacks, use the tips of your index and middle fingers to press along the inner wrist, then slowly move downward along the thumb side toward the little finger.
Method 3: When tempted to overeat, press the center point between the ribcage and navel using the fingertips of your index and middle fingers. Perform 30 presses within 10 seconds. This creates a feeling of fullness in the stomach, effectively reducing hunger.
Method 4: During periods of stress or tension, appetite often increases. In such cases, press your palms together and apply pressure from below the index finger all the way up to the elbow joint. This helps relieve tension and reduce stress.
