Common Human Acupoints Table
Zanzhu: In the depression at the inner end of the eyebrow.
Jingming: 0.1 cun lateral to the inner canthus of the eye.
Si Bai: Directly below the pupil when looking straight ahead, in the depression beneath the orbital rim.
Yintang: At the midpoint of the line connecting the two eyebrows.
Baihui: At the intersection of the midline of the head and the line connecting the two ear tips.
Fengchi: In the depression between the sternocleidomastoid muscle and trapezius muscle.
Anmian: At the midpoint of the line connecting Yifeng and Fengchi. Yifeng is located in the depression anterior and inferior to the mastoid process, level with the posterior margin of the earlobe.
Qiaogong: The linear region on the surface of the sternocleidomastoid muscle.
Jianjing: At the midpoint of the line connecting Dazhui and the acromion. Dazhui is located at the spinous process of the seventh cervical vertebra.
Pishu: 1.5 cun lateral to the spinous process of the eleventh thoracic vertebra.
Weishu: 1.5 cun lateral to the spinous process of the twelfth thoracic vertebra.
Yaoyan: 3 to 4 cun lateral to the spinous process of the fourth lumbar vertebra.
Qihai: 1.5 cun below the umbilicus.
Guan Yuan: 3 cun below the umbilicus.
Qu Chi: At the midpoint of the line connecting the lateral end of the elbow crease and the lateral epicondyle of the humerus when the elbow is flexed at a right angle.
Neiguan: 2 cun above the transverse wrist crease, between the palmaris longus tendon and the radial side of the flexor carpi radialis tendon.
Waiguan: 2 cun above the dorsal wrist crease, between the radius and ulna.
Hegu: In the web between the first and second metacarpal bones, approximately at the midpoint of the second metacarpal bone.
Zusanli: 3 cun below Dubi, one horizontal finger lateral to the anterior crest of the tibia. Dubi is located in the depression below the patella, lateral to the patellar ligament.
Sanyinjiao: 3 cun above the medial malleolus, at the posterior border of the tibia.
Chengshan: At the apex of the depression between the two bellies of the gastrocnemius muscle.
Yongquan: In the depression at the anterior third of the sole (excluding toes), when the toes are plantarflexed.
(Note: The width of my thumb interphalangeal joint is 1 cun; the combined width of the four fingers closed together, measured at the middle phalanx of the middle finger, equals 3 cun.)
